"The Second Coming" Atlanta by (Chris Scott England)

02 December 2009, 9:09 am

Saturday December 5, 2009 the "Second Coming" will take place. For the second year in a row the Alabama Crimson Tide will take on the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta, Ga. Last year the Gators lead by the "Messiah" Tim Tebow defeated the Crimson Tide.

This year both teams have been on a head on collision the entire year. Both teams have had their close calls but have remained undefeated. Tim Tebow the Gators quarterback suffered a concussion against Kentucky this year leaving some doubt as to whether he should play the remainder of the season. Tebow was knocked out on a clean hit. As Tebow's idle Jesus Christ rose from the dead Tebow rose to play again.

Tebow a devout christian chooses to make football his platform to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. During each game Tebow wears patches under his eyes displaying versus from the Bible. Although when Mr. Tebow posed with his shirt off for GQ  there were no scriptures on his body. Maybe he should have placed the patches with the scriptures over his nipples.

None the less he will lead an impressive offense into the Georgia Dome Saturday. The winner of this game will be in the BCS Title Game. The game should draw record numbers to Atlanta and to CBS who will televise the game. Unfortunately for the people who have to watch the game on t.v. Vern Lundquist and Gary Danielson will be calling the game. They are two of the worst analyst in the game today. Maybe Vern will remember it's Alabama playing and not Auburn.

Alabama has been lead by their Heisman candidate Mark Ingram this year. He has plied up the rushing yards breaking records along the way. Alabama also has the best receiver in the game Julio Jones and if Alabama hopes to win they best find a way to get him the ball. Last week he played a key role in what will go down as "the drive" to beat a game Auburn team.

Both teams have pro rated defenses. Florida lead by linebacker Spikes and Alabama lead by their top linebacker McClain. These two defenses are fast and will fly to the ball. Hitting will be at a premium neither team will be intimidated. This game will come down to big plays. Special teams could decided the winner Javier Arenas could make the deference for the Tide. He is a return man with blazing speed.

Nick Saban should have the Tide motivated after last years end of the year collapse. The Tide lost the last two games of the year. As for the the Gators Urban Meyer has been dealing with rumors of the Notre Dame job opening. With Tebow leaving Meyer may give it some thought.  In the end luck always plays a role and Florida's and Tebow's luck will run out Saturday evening as Alabama wins 27-21.
