Sloss Furnaces has it's roots in the beginning of Birmingham, Alabama. Without the Furnaces and the men who worked there from the early 1900's Birmingham would have never developed into the steel capital of the South. The Furnace's beauty stands as a tribute to those who worked there. Sloss is an landmark unchallenged in Birmingham. The history is rich and Birmingham should be proud of it's legacy.
