Morality vs. Money in America by (Chris Scott England)

Does anyone care about morality in America anymore? With the scandal in the headlines of Louisville Head Basketball Coach Rick Pitino it seems America has forgotten what morality means. A head coach of a state tax funded university in Kentucky has an affair with a woman and creates what would have been a child. Of course that would have been a problem for them so they chose an abortion. Regardless of how you feel about abortion lying and cheating are not in the definition of morality. Leaders of Universities should be held to higher standards because they are responsible for shaping the minds of the next generation. Only money speaks louder than morality in Louisville Rick Pitino wins and makes the University large amounts of revenue. Over 12 million in a few years. So before you judge the President of Louisville ask yourself would you give up 12 million dollars? Americans for the most part could care less about morality just turn the television on any given night. Americans are fine as long as they have their boats,401k's,and two car garages. As Americans rejoice in the pleasure of the sacrifice of morality for money it only leaves a shell of the country it inherited through great past sacrifice to the next generation. Birmingham should be thankful when Louisville comes to town because of the revenue he generates. So when Coach Pitino brings his Louisville Cardinals to Birmingham he should be given a warm welcome. Because after all he represents the new America.
